It was indeed a full packed weekend for these youngsters who participated in the 2015 National Training Camp happened at the PICC from April 24 to 25, on their last day all the 50 Boys and 24 Girls battled it out to be a part of the elite Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA Philippine All- Stars.
The All- Star team, which composes of 10 Boys and 5 Girls will definitely enjoy the experience of a lifetime and will travel abroad to witness an actual NBA game and meet some NBA Stars. The prizes are really grand that’s why the participants did their best to make their dreams a reality.
Here’s Angela Venterez,14 from Baguio Selection Camp. She dribbles and shoots like a guy but unfortunately she didn’t make it to the Elite Team.
Right after the selections I got a chance to have a little chit chat with her and asked her about her experience.“Masaya po at nakapunta ako dito sa Manila. Then I asked her, ” Sino kasama mo dito sa Manila?”
Indeed Parents play a big role in molding every child’s talent. They don’t just serve as an inspiration, but they really play a big role in reaching every child’s dream.
Alaska never fails to inspire and encourage both boys and girls to become future champions by teaching them skills to play the games as well as positive values which help them become better members of the community through Alaska’s Nutrition Action Champion Program.
Encourage your child to have an active lifestyle, let them play basketball and teach them the importance of proper nutrition.
